Academics

Academics > Honors

Each year, the top 10 percent of the enrolling class is invited to join the Honors Program.

Honors students take interdisciplinary Honors Seminars and gain the advantage of smaller classes and more extensive interaction with faculty members.

Academics are emphasized, but the program also cultivates personal development. For example, you might visit one of Boston's world-class museums as extra credit for an art course. Or, as a physical therapy major, you might dissect a cadaver. Honors students thrive on augmented—and firsthand—learning experiences.

Eligibility:

Applicants who have outstanding academic and extracurricular credentials may be invited to join the honors program. Honors students must maintain a 3.40 grade-point average to remain in the program.

All students who apply by the January 15 regular deadline are considered for admission into the Honors Program. There is no separate application.

The Honors Program is committed to a first-year Living Learning Community now housed in Parcel 18. Upperclass honors students will live in West Village F. This model allows the program to be both integrated with and responsive to their students.
