In Northeastern’s eight undergraduate colleges, we prepare students for a life of fulfillment and accomplishment in a world that is constantly changing. Our colleges are close-knit academic communities, each with its own unique approaches and programs that offer an array of academic choices and interdisciplinary opportunities.

Bouvé College of Health Sciences

Offers five programs that are housed in three schools: health sciences, nursing, and pharmacy. Each is structured around an interdisciplinary emphasis that reflects today’s team approach to healthcare.

College of Arts, Media and Design

Offers programs in architecture, art and design, communication studies, game design, journalism, media and screen studies, music, and theatre. CAMD is a vibrant community of scholars, makers, and practitioners dedicated to exploration and innovation in communication, design, and the arts.

College of Computer and Information Science


Offers programs in computer science and information science, including many combined major options with the College of Arts, Media and Design, the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, the College of Science, and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. The CCIS’ core programs are all housed in a new facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

College of Engineering


Offers majors in six disciplines: chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, and mechanical engineering. The college places an emphasis on interdisciplinary research in areas of energy, the environment, health, and security.

College of Science 

Offers programs devoted to the sciences and mathematics, including biochemistry, psychology, applied physics, and more. The college focuses on interdisciplinary research and facilitation among faculty and students in order to foster the connections that lead to innovation and entrepreneurship.

College of Social Sciences and Humanities

Offers programs that explore the meaning of human differences, the accomplishments of human cultures and the threats to them, and how human beings can better shape the world we share. Degree programs include international affairs, economics, history, and more.

D’Amore-McKim School of Business 


Offers programs in business administration and international business. Within each degree program, students choose from seven concentrations, including accounting, entrepreneurship, management, marketing, and more. The school focuses on combining challenging curriculum with the reality of today’s global economy.

College of Professional Studies


Offers programs in a wide range of disciplines, including public affairs, technical communication, health management, and more. The college emphasizes global and online options and is also home to the School of Education.

The Program for Undeclared Students

There’s a lot to choose from at Northeastern—it’s okay to be undecided. The Program for Undeclared Students will help guide you through the university’s more than 90 majors and flexible interdisciplinary programs across 65 departments. As an undeclared student, you’ll have the resources and tools you need to guide you in selecting the course of study that’s right for you. Personalized advising is a unique element of our Program for Undeclared Students, combining the support and advice of staff, faculty, advisers, peer mentors, and others to help you explore both the university and your passions.
