PURPOSE: To define policies for E-mail Account Expiration.

SCOPE: Faculty, staff, and students at Northeastern University.

NORTHEASTERN POLICY:

University offers an e-mail account to all members of the University community for their use during their tenure at Northeastern. E-mail accounts are created when an individual joins the University community as a student, faculty or staff. Accounts will be terminated when an individual leaves the University or for a serious breach of the University's Appropriate Use of Computer and Network Resources Policy.

This policy pertains to e-mail services provided by Information Services. Individual colleges may provide e-mail accounts that will be governed by different policies.

Any e-mail account will be terminated if the owner is guilty of a serious breach of the University's Appropriate Use of Computer and Network Resources Policy.

Electronic mail accounts are provided under the terms of the Appropriate Use Policy, available at http://www.infoservices.neu.edu.
