Policy
PURPOSE: To define the University's AIDS policy.
SCOPE: Entire University community.
POLICY:
1. The University adopted a comprehensive policy of respect for the privacy and confidentiality of persons with AIDS that requires that employees with AIDS be treated the same as any other employee with a chronic illness. Persons with AIDS are free to work as long as they are able and continue to receive all University medical, disability, and insurance benefits for which they are eligible.
2. The University provides AIDS education and training opportunities for employees and supervisors to help answer questions and concerns about AIDS.
