Purpose: |
Payroll Operations is
responsible for ensuring that voluntary deductions are put into effect
according to the employee's wishes and are in compliance with government
regulations. |

PROCEDURE:
- Employee sends written authorization for the desired deduction or reduction (e.g., for the Credit Union, NU Charitable Funds Campaign, TIAA/Fidelity, and so on).
- Payroll Operations staff updates the employee record and the employee's taxable salary and/or net pay is reduced accordingly.
- Payroll Operations staff disburses withheld amounts.
