Cashier's Office - Monthly Student MBTA Pass Purchases


Procedure

Title: Monthly Student MBTA Pass Purchases
Policy / Procedure No: CA001
Purpose: Provide MBTA passes for purchase to NU students who use public transportation.
Who Performs: Cashier's Office, 248 Richards Hall.
Documents Needed: Valid Northeastern University I.D.
Special Instructions: Passes are sold only during the last five business days of the month (from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.) providing that the T passes have been received from the MBTA. Full-time benefits-eligible employees should consider the Pre-tax Payroll Deduction Plan in order to save money. Students must be properly registered for courses or co-op.

PROCEDURE:

1. Student presents his/her valid NU I.D. at the Cashier's Office window.

2. Student requests type of pass desired.

3. Cashier's Office staff member processes payment and issues T pass.
