I graduated in May 2010 with a B.S. in Biology from Boston University. I joined the Lewis lab in Fall 2010 and spent my first year working with the Unculturables group, investigating the Viable But Non-Culturable (VBNC) phenomenon in V. vulnificus and V. cholerae with the goal of determining a molecular basis for how bacteria become VBNC.

I recently began a project in the MTb group identifying genes responsible for persister formation in Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
