Programs and Activities
With its diverse portfolio of programs and activities, the Asian American Center seeks to reach out to and involve the entire Northeastern community.

AAC Asian American Literature Book Club [click here]
The Book Club is for students, faculty, staff, and other interested individuals who wish to participate in reading and discussing literature written by Asian American authors. The goal is to read 1-2 books per semester, 3-4 books for the entire academic year. For logistical and financial purposes, the book group will be limited to 30 members for the 2006-2007 academic year. Preference will be given to having a healthy balance of students, faculty, staff, and other interested parties.
AASIA- Asian American Students in Action Peer Mentoring Program [click here]
The mentoring program creates the opportunity among upperclassmen and incoming freshmen or first year transfers to connect. Mentors offer their attention and knowledge of resources to better acclimate the mentee to the college environment. Mentor applications for the 2006-2007 school year are now available. Mentee applications will follow.
Brown Bag Lunch Discussions [click here]
The AAC's lunch discussion forum is another opportunity for members of the campus community to get together to share experiences and opinions about what defines us as an Asian American community.
Bubble Tea Time [click here]
Bubble Tea Time is a time for students to get together to have informal, yet meaningful discussion on issues that are relevant to Asian American college students today. Come talk over FREE bubble tea and explore issues of stereotypes, family expectations, and inter-racial dating.
Dragon Ladies [click here]
Dragon Ladies is a safe space for Asian American women. This group is a place to discuss, vent, and share experiences about being Asian American and female. This group will meet twice a month, and aims to provide support and community for women on campus.
Film Series [click here]
The AAC's Asian American Film Series provides an opportunity for members of the community to watch all kinds of different Asian American films, each capturing some aspect of the Asian American experience. Ranging from horror to comedy, documentaries to the unbelievable, Asian American film is diverse as Asian Americans themselves.
