About PAAC
Structure
The Pan Asian American Council is made up of two representatives from each of the eight Asian American student organizations, two at-large representatives, and two co-chairs. It is highly encouraged that one of each organization’s PAAC representatives be either the president or vice-president of the organization to facilitate communication and collaboration. Each member of the Council is expected to hold that position for the academic year. AAC Meetings will be held on a bi-weekly basis, typically on Tuesdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Asian American Center. All members of PAAC are expected to attend and participate in each of these meetings.
Nominations for the co-chair positions begin in the spring semester for the following academic year. Any Northeastern student can submit a nomination for these positions.
The PAAC co-chairs will report to the Director of the Asian American Center. The co-chairs will be expected to meet with the staff of the Asian American Center on a weekly basis, and to help plan and implement the summer leadership retreat.

2011-2012 CO-CHAIRS
Erickson Maala
Erickson is a fourth year pharmacy student at Northeastern. He was born in the Philippines, raised in New York, and loves every part about living in Boston. When he isn't studying his face off, you can find him playing sports (basketball, tennis, etc.), reading, or keeping up to date with the latest music. He has been a very active member of NU Barkada, where he was last year's president and will be this coming year's treasurer. He is hoping to bring his experience from Barkada e-board to the PAAC Co-Chair position and bring PAAC to bigger and greater things.
Richie Huynh
Richie is currently a senior here at Northeastern University studying Biology. He is excited to be one of the PAAC Co-Chairs for the upcoming academic year. PAAC has been a wonderful resource in helping Richie connect with his Asian American identity, and he feels privileged to get the opportunity to work with everyone in cultivating Asian American awareness on campus. Richie's experiences with student organizations come from his years as part of the Vietnamese Student Association, which he hopes will be a great asset to PAAC. He loves working out, cooking, and relaxing to good music.
