Divided We Fall: Americans in the Aftermath
A powerful new feature-length documentary film on hate violence in the aftermath of 9/11
About the Movie
Driven to action by the murder of a turbaned man in her community, a college student drives across America in the aftermath of 9/11 to discover stories that did not make the evening news. From the still-shocked streets of Ground Zero to the desert towns of the American West, Valarie Kaur's inspiring journey uncovers remarkable stories of hate violence, fear, and unspeakable loss – until she finds the heart of America halfway around the world, in the words of widow. Five years in the making, Divided We Fall deftly explores race, religion, and identity in times of national crisis.

ASIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE WEEK
What is Asian American Heritage Week?
Asian American Heritage Week will be held from February 19-22, 2008 at Northeastern University. This collection of events is just a small taste of the diversity that represents Asian America - both at Northeastern, and beyond. Our hope is that together, these events will spark discussion and inquiry about where we have come from as Asian Americans, and where we are going. Stop by, take a look, learn more about who we are.
While Asian American Heritage Month is traditionally celebrated in May, we are celebrating this in February to give our community an opportunity to fully participate in and enjoy these events. Our heritage week begins on the Day of Remembrance which honors the anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066 which sent 120,000 Japanese Americans into internment camps during World War II.
Keep an eye out for an art installation in the Curry Student Center too!!
