About the AAC Asian American Advisory Board Office of Affirmative Action and
Diversity Established by President Richard Freeland, the Advisory groups were created to increase communication and awareness between his office, University leaders, and groups representing diverse citizens of the university community. Advisory groups are encouraged to raise issues and advise the President on possible strategies that address their concerns while enhancing their value, presence and participation as members of the NU community. Advisory groups have been instrumental in bringing a number of important issues to the attention of the University's leadership either for resolution or further study. Members of these advisory groups, selected by the President, have also volunteered to plan events and activities to advance their agendas. All Advisory groups convene in joint advisory group meetings to learn from each other, and address concerns in common. Nominations for this committee are sent to the President's office for approval. News and Upcoming Events for the Advisory Group: Next Meeting: TBA For Questions about the Group: Ketty Munaf-Rosenfeld |
