Academic & Cultural Enrichment Services (ACES) The Academic and Cultural Enrichment Services (ACES) Council is a unit of the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Division of Northeastern University. It is comprised of the Disability Resource Center, International Student & Scholar Institute, the Latino/a Student Cultural Center, the John D. O’Bryant African American Institute, the Office of Special Support Services, and the Asian American Center. The ACES unit aims to advance a multicultural focus for the Enrollment Management & Student Affairs Division. A key aspect of the work of ACES is its provision of specific services to students that add value to their educational experience through culturally mediated academic support and leadership development. The ACES Council strives to: Empower students through cross-cultural academic, personal, and professional development to become active citizens, committed to building a global community. Advance the University’s commitment to diversity through advocacy, educational outreach, and initiatives that promote inclusion and heightened cultural understanding and interaction for the benefit of all members of the Northeastern community. Provide strategic leadership that bolsters institutional awareness of key issues related to multicultural and intercultural education.
