Initial certification and re-certification courses are open to all faculty, staff and students of Northeastern. Classes are taught by officers who are American Heart Association CPR Instructors.

Initial CPR Certification
Time: Offered every semester
Sessions: Eight-hour program presented in two, four-hour sessions
Class size: Limited to 12
CPR Re-Certification
Time: Offered every semester
Sessions: Four-hour program
Class size: Limited to 12
Fee: $15.00 (payable to Northeastern University by check or money order in advance). Students must also purchase a CPR pocket mask with a one-way valve prior to first night of class. The masks are available for purchase at the N.U. Bookstore or and you will not be allowed to attend the class without one.

NOTE, IT WILL TAKE APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH AFTER THE COMPLETION OF YOUR CPR CLASS FOR THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION TO PROCESS AND ISSUE YOUR CARD. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM THE PUBLIC SAFETY DIVISION NOTIFYING YOU TO COME TO HEADQUARTERS TO PICK UP YOUR CARD.
